The homes are situated on the outskirts of the Rissenthal nature park village, surrounded by paddocks and woods.

You can find the most beautiful hiking trails of Germany in the proximity: The "Schluchtenweg" was awarded the prize of the most beautiful hiking trail in Germany in 2006 and is within a two-minutes' walk. In 2007, the "Felsenweg" that is likewise close by, was awarded the same prize.

The reservoir in Losheim am See, which is only 8 kilometres away, provides facilities to do water sports. You can also find a number of shopping facilities there as well as in the county town of Merzig and a varied range of restaurants.

It is only about 30 minutes' drive to the world-famous "Saarschleife".
